Official Press Release Below:
Downtown Miami’s contemporary Pan-Latin steakhouse, Toro Toro is looking for a signature cocktail to include in its Miami Spice 2013 restaurant promotion. What better way to choose one than to hold a Miami Spice Cocktail Competition where the restaurant’s bartenders go head-to-head in a “shake off” and ask diners to help select the winning drink by voting for their favorite concoction. Over the course of three weeks, six of Toro Toro’s best bartenders will compete for diners’ votes for the most inventive and delicious cocktail. Patrons will be offered a complimentary taste of each cocktail and given a voting card to choose their favorite drink. A full size serving of the contestant’s cocktails will also be available for purchase at the reduced price of $5 each.
The first three bartenders went up against each other during the week of July 8 and the diners votes were tallied on Sunday, July 14. The next set of competitors began competing on July 15; and that round’s winner selected on Sunday, July 21. The winners of the two rounds will duke it out during the Finals on the week of July 22. The cocktail champion will be announced Monday, July 29.
The winning bartender will receive a cash prize and their drink will be named the official Toro ToroMiami Spice cocktail which will be available as a special on the Spice menu for $5.
