Brasileiro, a Brazilian-fusion steakhouse debuts in Brickell this July

With its expansive variety of local watering holes, trendy gastropubs and luxurious hotel hotspots, Brickell has become a go-to area for those seeking a great meal, inventive drinks and a happening scene. Enter Brasileiro, a unique, Brazilian-fusion steakhouse and lounge, scheduled to open in the space formerly occupied by the iconic Porcao at the Four Ambassadors Suites Hotel, on Friday, July 12, 2013. There, guests can look forward to indulging in a rodizio-style selection of sizzling steaks and fresh seafood fare while taking in the breathtaking waterfront views of Biscayne Bay. Brasileiro will bring elegant yet unpretentious Brazilian cuisine and a lively bar scene to Downtown Miami.

To helm the kitchen, Brasileiro has tapped Guily Booth as executive chef. Booth, with more than 15 years of experience, including stints at popular local hotspots, The Local House, YUCA, and Cafeina, will bring her culinary prowess to the new steakhouse. The robust menu at Brasileiro, exquisitely crafted by Booth, will offer a variety of affordable tapas-style small plates along with delectable Brazilian staples and, of course, an assortment of perfectly cooked and well-seasoned prime cuts of meat.

The Brasileiro menu will feature a selection of a la carte items – appetizers, raw bar and tiraditos, entrées and sides – as well as all-you-can-eat rodizio.  Notable appetizers include Booth’s highly-regarded crab cakes ($14), which Martha Stewart called the “best she’s ever had,” served with arugula, tomato and Booth’s secret sauce; crispy calamari steak ($9) with pepperoni sauce and orange jam; buffalo sweet and sour pork wings ($12) with cauliflower puree and grilled pineapple; and lamb sliders ($8) on soft yeast rolls with Indian tomato confit, feta cheese and broccoli sprouts. Enticing entrées include the classic Brazilian dish, moqueca bahia ($34), prepared with zucchini, yellow squash, chayote, tomato, cilantro, dende oil, shrimp and coconut milk; blackened cobia ($34) served with shrimp, potato and chorizo home fries with a Key Lime buerre blanc; and black seafood risotto ($36) with calamari, shrimp, piquillo peppers and sweet peas.

Those looking for traditional Brazilian steakhouse fare will be able to feast on the all-you-can-eat rodizio for $39 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Served tableside by passadores, guests will choose from an assortment of prime cuts of meat including picanha, churrasco, Brazilian sausages, leg of lamb and bacon wrapped chicken, among others. Roaming buffet carts will feature unlimited helpings of a-la-carte side dishes such as white rice, black beans, French fries, fried banana (banana frita), farofa, salad and fried yuca.

Brasileiro will have a warm and inviting ambiance, adorned with perfectly polished wood accents, cascading and whimsical wrought-iron chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows that will boast stunning views of Biscayne Bay. Part of a complete re-design of the former Porcao space, the open layout of Brasileiro’s spacious dining room will seat 300, with an enclosed private dining area for up to 60. Diners will be able to enjoy an inviting breeze from the bay on the outdoor patio with seating for 70. The perfect setting for pre- or post-dinner cocktails, guests will be able to cozy up at the bar and lounge, seating 50.

Brasileiro steakhouse and lounge will be open for lunch, Happy Hour and dinner daily; located in the Four Ambassadors Suites Hotel at 801 Brickell Bay Drive.
