Kevin Aoki’s Doraku Sushi is expanding its business by bringing another branch of his restaurant to Mary Brickell Village. This will be his second South Florida location, and is set to open later this year. Aside from Miami Beach, he also has restaurant branches in Waikiki, Hawaii, and Kuala Lumpur. A local resident, Aoki was able to see the lifestyle of people living in Brickell, and chose Mary Brickell Village as a premiere spot to expand to. Aoki purchased the Doraku concept from Benihana in 2006, which is founded by his father Rocky Aoki.
Doraku Sushi seats around 80, serves more than a handful of sakes (60ish), and has recently opened for business.
